On April 17th 2016, Emilien Peretti (Computer Science student) presented his master project about the humanod robot NAO during the "Crazy Machine Challenge" at the Lotto Mons Expo, co-organized by UMONS and Google. The viewers could discover the maze routing strategies and the basics of computer vision.


Jef Wijsen, professor in the Department of Computer Science, has received the ACM SIGMOD Research Highlight Award 2015. This award is given by the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) to the eight most important scientific contributions published in 2015 in the domain of data management. An article describing the award-winning contribution appeared in SIGMOD Record.
